Fully Custom Shoes

By this method you can own those special shoes of your dreams. Whether you have an old pair of shoes that you want to recreate, or just a vision of how they should be, there are few limits to your creativity.

First you make an appointment. On the first appointment I measure, make a footprint and take photographs of your feet. Watching you walk up and down a few metres I check if everything is okay. This provides me with the information I need to create your personal last. This wooden form is unique to your foot.

On the second appointment we use a testing shoe to ensure that all the measurements of the last are accurate. On this appointment you choose the model and materials for your custom shoe.

Now the actual work on the shoe starts. We draw the model, make the upper and fit it to the last—the leather begins to become a shoe.

Then we invite you for another test wearing. With the upper formed, we can be sure that it is a perfect fit to your foot. When you are happy with the fit, and that the model is as you imagined it, we can complete the manufacture of your shoe. Now comes the exciting part. Two to four weeks after the third appointment your shoes will be completed. You will step from our shop in Berlin-mitte with a new feeling. Much more than a new pair of shoes, you will have a totally new experience of walking.

Fully custom shoes start from 1400 Euros.

Custom Shoes

The second method of owning a pair of custom shoes is faster, cheaper and easier. We do not build a custom last for you, but use one that matches closely, carefully selected from the wide stock in our fundus.

As with the full custom experience, on your first appointment we measure, make a footprint and take photographs of your feet. Even if your feet are not the same size we are able to find matching lasts for you. After the size is determined, you select a model. Or, if you have your own design, we are also happy to reproduce that.

Next you choose the material from which we will make your individual sneakers. We understand that this is an important decision, and we are happy to offer time and all possible assistance to ensure that you are comfortable with your choice. At this stage you can even decide to have your shoes tattooed. I work together with a tattooist who is more than happy to colour your chosen upper leather with ink. Once your choice is confirmed we can begin our work.

There are between two and three hundred steps involved in building a handmade shoe. We carry out every part of the process—from the careful construction of the insole (the heart of the shoe) to the bag in which you receive the finished product. Eight to twelve weeks after commencement of this process, you will leave our shop, walking as you have never walked before.

Custom shoes cost between 850 and 950 Euros.
